The Big Idea: Giving God our worst frees us to receive his best.

Here are some social media highlights from this week's message. Simply copy and paste them into your Twitter and/or Facebook feed.

The message of Malachi is clear: God loves us, we trash his love and God takes that trash and repurposes it into a treasure. #thebigoh

The plan of God is more shocking than safe. #thebigoh

Warning to pastors: when you trash the standards of God, so do your people. Don't set them up for judgement like that. #thebigoh

Pastors need to fear God and hear what he says instead of fearing people and telling them what they want to hear. #thebigoh

No matter how much we give God, how we handle marriage is what opens and closes us to his presence. (Malachi 2:12-13) #thebigoh

Our culture holds onto money longer than spouses, and God's love gets trashed in the process. The church needs to be different. #thebigoh

Nobody likes to be told what to do with their money, but as a follower of Jesus, it isn't our money. It's his. #thebigoh

Perhaps the most shocking truth of all is that after we trash God's love, he still loves us...and WANTS us. #thebigoh

God is the best at taking trash and REPURPOSING it into treasure. #thebigoh

God repurposes our lives at the cross. Our sin for his sinlessness. Our trash for his treasure. Our worst for his best. #thebigoh

God repurposes our lives in the church. Deep roots and deep commitments in a body that supports, challenges and cheers each other. #thebigoh

No matter what we've done, the cross reminds us that we are one step away from a new life and a new family. #thebigoh

We are saved at the cross and changed in the church. #thebigoh
