The Plans:
The Bible was not given for our information, but for our transformation.

A Bible that's falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn't.

Ready for a challenge? Ready to see if you've got what it takes?
Back in 2012, our church kicked off the new year by throwing down a 90-Day Bible reading challenge, and we found that when we honored God's word during the first 12 weeks of the new year, the power of His truth began to create a beautiful new direction in our church, our families, and each one of us individually. Maybe you need God's word to do that same work in you now. It's time to stop wishing we knew the Bible. It's time to stop wishing we had a better handle on God's will for our lives. Simply put, it's time to read the Bible, and there's no better time to start than at the beginning of a new year.
It's possible that you choked a bit on your coffee when you read that last sentence, because our society isn't about reading. We're about watching, listening, texting and tweeting. For many of us, grating our left hamstring is more exciting than the thought of reading 12 pages a day in the most important book our culture will ever know.
At The Gathering, we value God's word. In fact, our very first core value puts it this way:
We value Biblical truth and expect its power to challenge and change us.
[2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12; Psalm 119:9-11]
Simply put, we can't say we value something and never use it, and our guess is that most of us would use the Bible more, and read it more, if we weren't so afraid that we'd fail. But you can do it. Today, you are only 12 weeks away from saying that you finally read the Bible from cover to cover, and we've got the tools you need to stick it out to the end.
This is the year that you can be more fit spiritually than you ever thought possible! Use the reading charts below for the plan that will best fit where you are right now, and then... just start! If you're on social media, feel free to post each day when you're done about what you read and what you learned and use the hashtag #G90X so we can all track each other's comments and progress. Having your Gathering notebook with you while you read will allow you to make notes of verses and truths that really resonate with you. After all, we know that God will be speaking to us as we read, because these are His words.
We've got 2 tracks for you to choose from: one covers the whole Bible, and the other gets you through the New Testament. Both will take 90 days.
G90X - Old and New Testament
G90X - New Testament only
