Jesus and Community / re|ACTS Week 30 Message recap
Here are some social media highlights from this week's message. Simply copy and paste them into your Twitter and/or Facebook feed.
The more we realize that Jesus is all we've got, the more care we'll take to make sure that we follow him closely.
To keep in step with the Spirit requires that we trust. Much of the Christian faith is walking with the Known into the unknown.
When we follow Jesus closely, our path will cross with others who are also following him closely. The result is Biblical community.
The Christian faith is not a game of Survivor where we prove we love Jesus more than anyone else by outlasting and outwitting one another.
The Christian faith is lived out in a community filled with people who try to outdo one another in showing honor.
Thinking you can love Jesus but not his church is like thinking you can have a relationship with me but not my family. That's not happening.
Are you a consistent, contributing member of your faith community, or are you simply a Sunday morning consumer?
We will pay a price to follow Jesus closely in community. Acts 2:42-47 lists great community benefits. It starts with being fully devoted.
Often, we love the IDEA of community, but we struggle with the PRACTICE of community.
It costs TIME to build community and TEARS to keep it, but the payoff is relationships we can TREASURE.
Don’t love less because you’re afraid that it might hurt more. Love anyway.
We fully DEVELOP whatever we're fully DEVOTED to.
