Filled to Spill / re|ACTS Week 18 Message recap

The Big Idea: We're filled so we can spill.

Here are some social media highlights from this week's message. Simply copy and paste them into your Twitter and/or Facebook feed.

God fills our emptiness so we can spill him into someone else's.

You and I will spill and we will spill what we are filled with. So fill with the spill in mind.

Accept the fact that what's in you will come out, and make sure you're putting things in you that you want to come out.

We were not designed to be reservoirs. We were designed to be rivers. God flows to us so he can flow through us.

What spills out of us will always be exactly the same as what we stored in us.

In Acts 1:8, God promised to fill us so we could spill out on the world. God fills with the spill in mind.

Our hearts are like storage units: we can only take out of them what we put into them. Store good things so you can share good things.

If we want God to fill us, we've got to be still. It's hard to fill a moving target. Sometimes we miss God simply because we move too much.

If we want God to fill us, we've got to watch what we're watching. What we see affects what we will be.

If we want God to fill us, we've got to know the Word. God's word in our hearts means God's word from our mouths.

At The Gathering, we want to live near God (be filled) in order to be sent to those far from him (so we can spill).

According to Ephesians 2:10, you and I should fill our lives so that we're ready to be set apart to spill into the specific work God has for us.

Churches that fill with the spill in mind will be churches that say, "Go."

Jesus wants us to be so full of him that he leaks out everywhere we go.
